SHuCo are Wein made,as are WH's i think. So,for me it's a reasonable assumption that the quality of metal should be similar. Hence the shrinkage (during cooling). Not all awards show this trait. Vienna style awards being most prevolent. Stewy
Yes, while researching this maker Norm F pointed out in a discussion about Hobacher that they share the exact same trimming outline as Souval Minesweeper badges.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Yes, while researching this maker Norm F pointed out in a discussion about Hobacher that they share the exact same trimming outline as Souval Minesweeper badges.
Indeed another "Vienna" maker. Seems all of the had access to this type of zinc. One that seems to suffer from less "zinc pest" than some other makers. I like the shrinkage marks,for me they add to the individuality of the award. Stewy

That is true. Perhaps the copper coating over the zinc is the key factor to preventing zinc pest?
