Germany, land of the badges. I like these badges a lot!
Thanks bud
Hi
I am not certain of the first badge but the second is an original RS Zerstörer-Kriegsabzeichen.
Thanks
Cameron
I got the first badge straight from a vet along with other items. He became a friend. I'm so sure on this badge I'd bet everything on it. Thanks for looking.
Both are original badges.
The GWL is a particularly nice example of a desireable badge in tombak and in excellent condition.
The Souval badge is a zincer with the finish being absorbed by the base metal over time. The marks on the back from the pins used to push the badge out of the press are visible. It matches accepted original examples but of course, with Souval, we have difficulty knowing if their decorations were produced before the ned of the war or afterwards.
