Defence of Leningrad : Original?
An Auction on a Leningrad Medal is ending in less than 11 hours, and I am sure it is an Original, Type 1, Variant 2. The ribbon doesn't seem to be replaced, but the connecting ring is cut. The soldered ring seems center on the front, but on the back, it looks quite far to the left. Could be an illusion, or it is how it is.
Original broad horizon Leningrad medal with old, most likely wartime replaced suspension and old original ribbon to this suspension.
It happened more often with campaign medals that the connecting ring is a bit off centre, no worries there. Imo a very nice Leningrad medal!
I agree with Marcel. I'd be happy to have it in my collection.
