Early suspension Military Merit Medal

Hi Guys, here is another new purchase. This is my first early pre 1943 suspension peice. A type 1, variation 4.

Serial number is 295668.

As always, comments are most welcome.

I only have the one pic as the light was poor today. I will try and add more pics tomorrow if possible.

Nice, I will buy one soon, the most important thing is to have all the original components, ring and suspension with original ribbon.

Thanks David. I have some doubts about the suspension too, but the seller and I have worked out a deal. But I am going to show some more pics, but the light was poor today due to the rain.

Hi Ade, The only thing I have doubts is the metal plate. I think it is small, but I´m not a expert.
The ribbon and suspension looks good to me .

I have determinded that the suspension is a modern fake replacement. However, I can live with it, as the seller, who is a mate and forum member, gave me a few other bits in compensation.

The medal is OK, Ade, but I am not sure about the "kolodka", even I'am not a specialist in that area.

A good example, very nice. The metal plate is diferent. The medal of Ade have a small metal plate .

Bringing this old thread back up as I have ordered the research for this one.

Just to reiterate, the medal is correct and original, but has a modern replacement early style suspension. Early suspensions got changed for the later post 1943 5 sided versions in many cases.
