Fake Belgrades

I remember seeing a similar post, showing the same details. Here are some fakes I have seen. It may be a fact that they were lesser known variants, but there is none shown on mondvor.narod.ru


This is an original, shown on the mondvor side.

Here is a second the same auctioneers are selling. The lettering looks thin than original.

Here's a bit more on detecting fakes. Once you know what to look for these are quite easy to identify since all fakes have the same mistakes.

The one on Siegmund Stephan also appears to be fake.

Yep. The lettering on the reverse looks 'wavy' and of course the obverse appears wrong.

This is good info, thanks a lot for this. The liberation of Belgrade medal is one of the few campaign medals I don't have yet due to its high cost. Now I'm going to be very careful... thank you!
