My first post
Hi all. I'm a collector of predominantly Airborne badges/patches from around the world, and I have a large collection of Eastern Bloc as can be seen in the photo posted.
I have also collected along the way other badges/patches from the Eastern Bloc that I have no idea what they are and hope for a bit of help from posters on this site.
I have a Russian guards badge and a death certificate (Photos in the next posts) from the Second World War. My first question is; is the Russian Guards badge from the Second World War ???, because I purchased both badge and certificate together many years ago.
Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forum. Great collection of badges you have. Looks impressive displayed like this.
Your guards badge is original wartime but I think the nut is a postwar replacement.

Hi Marcel. I have small box of nuts and I'd probably put the wrong one on, do you have a picture of a World War II one ??? thanks
