Is the last name Доманский?
This person does not appear to be in feats of the people.
From Victory over Germany Doc, any help you might be able to provide (suggested spelling alternatives etc) would be most appreciated.

Looks like you are correct with the name.
Another piece of Info he was a ста́рший лейтена́нт (senior lieutenant) in 1947 when the victory doc was issued
Hi.
My son tells me the name is
Aleksander Domanski
Yes, Aleksander Fedorovich Domanski.
Is there alternative spelling to Доманский Александр Федорович that I should be looking up? Seems odd a Senior Lieutenant wouldn't be in feats of the people for something.
BTW I did look up with the wild card Домански* Александр Федорович
You did it right, it seems he just wasn't awarded any decorations. A bit uncommon, but certainly not unheard of for a junior officer.
Please, in the future, post whole document.
there are other clues on the document, which help to do investigative work.
Yes, it is uncommon but it happens.
I have the same story with a senior Lieutenant who joined the Red Army in 1918...and was awarded Order of Lenin and red Banner for long service in 1943 and 1948.
He was also awarded the Victory over Germany medal but when checking his name on the "feats of the people" website he was not there.....
So I asked Auke to do the research and the record card is clearly mentionning that he did not receive any awards during the great Patriotic War....( By the way, thanks Auke for the research).
I will start a dedicated thread on the forum with pictures of his awards, booklet and record card.
