The Odessa Medal is one of those Soviet decorations which have been faked almost to perfection. Unless the medal is in close to mint condition (which this one obviously isn't), it's practically impossible to tell if an Odessa medal is original based on digital images. You could consider sending it to Alexei Merezhko for authentication: Soviet Authentications by "Nota Bene"
