Original medal with replaced suspension. Indeed contact Auke for research! It is most likely a long service award from just after the war.

Anyway, a nice medal. Even if it would have been granted for long service. It is a so-called type 2, variant 3; Медаль "ЗА БОЕВЫЕ ЗАСЛУГИ" - 2 It also has a reasonable price.

from Marcel's statement, I understand that only the medal is original, not the ribbon. Can you tell me how this ribbon is different from the original? the metal on the ribbon should be silver too?

At the end of a block of long service. Likely but not 100%

He is saying the metal hanger (and by extension the ribbon) are later replacements.

And these being replacement is no problem. The pins to attach the medals to uniforms are very fragile and could easily break. Happened all the time. And thus new suspensions were used so the medal could still be worn. As said, that is very common with Soviet medals and is of no problem.
