1945 Distinguished Service Medal (but awarded by who ???)

Hi folks, saw this medal in an Antiques shop today, thinking of buying it but im unsure who it was awarded by. Cost is £12.

At the bottom of the medal it says A.A.C (what unit or organisation was this?).
On the reverse side the name on the back is Mrs R Mountain.

HI , i think this award is for distinguished service in connection with the association of conservative clubs, private civiian and not a military award. at one time i had a 5year version of this award as part of ww1 set of awards .the 5 year version was on a blue ribbon. seems a good buy at £12.....cheers paul

It is definitely not a military award...............!

I didn't think so, I was thinking Army Catering Corps or something similar.
