Some docs and medals of Lt Meira - 1st Brazilian Fighter Squadron - 1st BFS - was incorporated to the 350th FG, that unit was subordinated to the 62nd Fighter Wing, XXII Tactical Air Command, 12th Air Force USAAF in Italian Front:

Lt. Meira was indeed a brave pilot. Low level bombing runs on defended positions was extremely dangerous business, even late in the war. Brazil can certainly be proud of his bravery and will to fight. Great history, thanks for the post.
