British 1939-1945 medal

Hello, im thinking of buying this. Is it original?

It's original. Known simply as the War Medal. It was awarded to all service personnel who had served at least 28 days in the Armed Forces or Merchant Navy, from 3rd September 1939 to 2nd September 1945.

Its 250 Swedish crowns thats roughly 25$.

That's about the going rate for one of these medals. Slightly cheaper, in fact.

Here's one of mine, awarded to my great grandmother after her service in the ATS. You can sometimes find them in their boxes like this, and when you do the price tends to be slightly higher.

I agree and the fakes which are usually called "replacements" are very very shiny and cheap looking. The originals look like a treasury minted coin in terms of the definition of the strike as well as the colour and texture of the metal. Side by side even in photographs the difference can be seen.
