nice Jerry.
An underrated group of medals in my opinion. They look great together and picking up the original bars is good fun too!
Forget the Battle of Britain one though!

Are these well copied as well Jerry if so do happen to know what the spot the differences are?
I suspect it will be the “E” /pebbling/smoothness of the back ect,
Also do know what your dad had mention for?
Well done
Rod
Nice medal Jerry. Seeing this star has reminded me to buy replacements of my grandfathers medals from WW2. I keep meaning to but find other things i buy instead. Thanks for sharing
I think all are copied these days Rod. I think one of the clues to fakes is that they are thicker than originals.
He got his mention for carrying a wounded comrade to safety whilst under enemy fire.

Thanks Jerry.
He should have got more than a mention. Brave men!
I only have two stars so far, don’t know why because they aren’t expensive apart from the air crew star. One is an African star with 8th army bar which I got from someone who bought at a market years ago in New Zealand , must have belonged to a Kiwi.
Thanks again happy hunting!
Rod
