    Hello all,

    I recently picked up a French Franco-Prussian War Commemorative Medal that has a "Engage Volontaire" bar device on it. In addition, it has the attachment prongs, and is in great shape. I know a little about the medal, but would someone please be able to fill me in on what the device means? Does anyone know what this medal with everything it has goes for? I'll post pictures as soon as I can. Thank you

    I believe it is a 'volunteer recruit' bar.........

    I looked it up, and yes, it is in fact a Volunteer bar Would you happen to know what this medal's value would be approximately given that it has this additional bar on it?
