So, I went back to the antique shop where I recently picked up the American visor cap and found these. The only question I have is are these from the end of the war or later replacements. Thanks for looking!

Thanks John! I probably should have id'd them. The Europe/M.E. medal also has one star. Not a bad little group for seven dollars U.S.! Still curious about the vintage though.

Thanks for the info Brian! Mine are the brass type with the pin style attachment. Seems as though they are end of the war pieces.

Thanks for posting the question. Honestly one that really never crossed my mind. Yes I would half to say (if the article is correct) that yours are late/post war ribbon bars. But still good pieces and a nice pick up. Best regards.

I am fine with them being late or immediate post war pieces as a victory ribbon on an early war mount would be kind of suspect. For seven bucks, I think I got a good deal. There are websites where these three, if bought as I have them, would be sixty dollars.
