Default St John’s Ambulance examination medals WW2.

I now have two WW2 era St John’s ambulance Re-examination Medallions, which were awarded to those who had passed three St John Ambulance examinations. At least two had to be in First Aid to the Injured, but the third could be in either Home Nursing or Home Hygiene. The purpose of the medallion was to prove, when required, the competency of the holder.

These have been given to: Frank M Seymour, number A64927 and to Henry R Leeds, number A63673.

The presence of the A denoting that these were issued during the war. Sadly no records survive of where these two were located.
