Nice medal. I always have some difficulty trying to figure out when they were made. What era is yours from?

According to the seller (which is a reputable dealer) it's from WW2. But maybe there is a date on one of the boxes? I'll see if i can find anything when i get it.

Post a picture of the back of the ribbon where the ribbon attaches to the broach as that’s the best way to date US medals.
I think it’s post WWII. still an original US Air Medal just not original to WWII. I say this because of the box it came in. That is a post war box.

The seller just mailed me and said that it's hard to date it but he would say from the 80's

Yes I would agree it’s probably from around that time. Still great to find a Complete medal with full sized medal, ribbon, lapel pin, presentation case and shipping box even from modern times!
