WW2 Army Observers Wings

I got these at a coin store for $30USD. They say AMICO STERLING on the back. I saw the saw one on eMedals for $475USD. is this worth that much? is it rare?

You got a good buy at $30.00. This type of pin back is very desireable. I don't know anyone who would pay $475.00 for one like that. I have seen several wings of that style and vintage go for around $80.00 to $130.00. Either way this is a very nice set of wings and one I don't have.

They appear to be a good AMICO set. This type of wing badge is somewhat rare
compared to other 'specialty' wings such as Bombardier, Aerial Gunner,
Navigator, etc.........

$30 was a great bargain. As to value, a quality pinback maker-marked
observer like this, I think $150/$200 would be more appropriate.
IMO, the site you refer to tends to mis-identify and overprice
some of their U.S. stock - I would never pay $475, and
I don't know anyone who would either !
