Can you take a picture of the base and post it up please. We need to see the headstamp markings to posiviely ID it.
First glance puts it around the 75mm mark, but we'll know more when we see the headstamps.

90mm? Take some calipers and measure the inside of the case mouth. That will let you know what size it is.

I agree with Steve, if you can post a clear photo of the base of the shell with its markings visable it will make identifcation more precise.

is it CB&CO or is it CB&C.CO if The latter its manufactured by the Clark Brass & Copper Co from Elk Grove (IL) USA
I'm pretty certain it's a 90mm shell casing. It was used in AA guns and in the late war Pershing tank. If you want to sell it let me know.
