Default 2 CM / 20 MM Flak Cannon Round? Confirming

    Hello...

Have a shell I wanted to confirm and get opinions on.

20MM / 2 CM Flak 38 Round. Believe Yellow band signifies armor piercing.

I believe Green Tip marked WaA73 shows made in Silva Metallwerke Factory in location of Genthin - Sachsen-Anhalt.

The yellow band and primer are stamped with WaA231 which confirms code of P414 for a 2 CM Casing. Shown to be also made in factory Silva Metallwerke - Magdeburg –
    Neustadt - Sachsen-Anhalt.

I believe it to be a nice mint condition 1939 piece. Thoughts? Found one thread from past on WRF with this link:

Did that get a bubble Bro.

It does have some Very Nice markings on the projectile??? I would say cherry for its age??
But I am not researching these at this time and I don't know if there has been a stash found in a crate in a climate controlled area.

Crazy price , are these that rare in the USA?

No. They are not that rare. Some people are just stupid when it comes to some of this stuff. That is way too much for one of these.
    Just my thoughts.

WaA Stamps & Swastikas make normal people go a little over the actual retail price....or....in this case deep over the edge. Nice piece but I would have given no more than $75 to $85 for it in mint condition. $35 to $40 if good or relic condition. Just hope whoever bought it enjoys it as that is all that matters.

It's in fabulous condition, but I think $100 to $150
might be the ballpark up my way. As you say
though, stamps and a swaz make all
    the difference.........
    Regards,

    Steve.
