Just arrived this morning is this pretty minty 84mm Carl Gustav training round.

This round can be dated to the 1970s. The projectile is dated 1971 and the casing is dated 1977 (with another stamp saying 1978) made by the RLB (Royal Laboratories Birtley). Not much else I can add that stamps don’t already say. Got your crows foot and designation L41A3. Inside the projectile you can also see the location of where the tracer was.

I was very much tempted to put HEAT (High Explosive Anti Tank) tracer practice round in the title but I feel it would be incorrect. Yet I am aware this projectile is pretty close to what the actual issued HEAT shell would look like.

Thanks for having a look guys. I have a included a cutaway diagram from an actual HEAT 84mm shell for comparison

“That firing it rattled your teeth”

Hmmm it appears SAAB excludes that from their Brochure!

Never had the pleasure of firing one... being LAD, we were only trusted with the 3.5 inch rocket launcher.

When I showed my dad my new purchases he claimed he has fired one before. So that’s pretty cool

    Hi,

    Found this on Internet.
Some other rounds for KG 84mm.
My drill round suggests the third one from the left.

    good morning gents,
good morning jb4046, good morning narcis ....

sitting here in austria and having a ammo container for the carl gustav in my collection
i think for the m2 weapon, used by the austrian army

to complete the container with content, i think i can print out some 3D-plastic-dummy for show reasons ...
i found a drawing, the same u showed, but without any measures

can u share the dimensiones with me ??
need at least the diameters in sliding caliper accuracy

regrads from a sunny, but cold austrian morning
