    Mystery solved. Found after a long search: "enz WW-II German ordnance code assigned to Enzesfelder Metallwerk, Enzesfeld plant, Vienna, Austria"

    The answer is yes. The Germans captured a number of Bofors early on in the war and manufactured their own ammunition for them. Unusual but not unheard of.
