Camo U.S. ammo box ?

Did US troops paint ammo boxes in winter camo or is this BUBBA`S work ?

Now, I'm no Harvard Road Scholar, but i'm pretty sure this is "Bubba's" work.

I was told that UN troops painted just about everything white,and used older equipment like this, so......

I just found this info on a Browning website,it looks like they were painted white for tank use.

The British did the same thing too.
