Cardboard ordnance shipping tube 1943.
Article about: I picked this up recently but as yet I haven’t been able to firmly ID it. I am assuming it is British rather than American. Can my fellow forum collectors give me any further information p

I think this maybe aircraft bomb related. Searching No28 certainly comes up with tails and fuzes for bombs

That's interesting JB, it isn't a large tube. Not the sort of thing that usually survives.
