Christmas Present

Happy New Year to all on the forum

I got this for Christmas and thought I'd share it with the forum. My field of collecting is TR and Imperial EK's, KVK's, other Medals and Combat awards so I know very little about these. I believe that it is a Mills Bomb used by the British in WW1. The brass screw cap below it shows No5 Mk1 2/16 with a mark C.A.V. Is this the date of manufacture (2/16) if so is it genuine. Really not my field but I love it just the same. The pin and ring are most certainly new put on by the dealer but the rest looks good to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read my thread

This looks almost identical to my Mills bomb No.5 purchased nearly 30 years ago for 150 francs (£15). Mine also has replacement pin and ring.
A nice WW1 relic.
