    Hi guys,

finally got my hands on an affordable example of something I've wanted for a while. This Finnish-used Patrone came from a former museum and is in quite beautiful condition with all its stamped markings visible on the shell.

The fuze it had was unfortunately in "slightly" worse shape than the shell itself so I quickly acquired a nice replacement. Being a 1938-made example, the new Zt.Z.S/30 time fuze might not exactly be the perfect match for the 44-dated shell but one has to remember mismatches were the rule rather than the exception in ammunition.

As (nearly) always, the casing has been refurbished by the Finns - perhaps even several times - and the original base markings, while there, are very faint and partially hiding under a layer of lacquer and dirt. Therefore I didn't include photos of them - there really wouldn't be much of interest to see

I think I'll display the old fuze alongside an appropriate bakelite protector I already had in the collection.

    Thanks for looking!

Thank you gents! It is indeed a big heavy thing, being just over 3 feet or 93 cm tall. Still shorter than the 1942-dated 152 mm coastal gun casing next to it

Anyway, I'm really happy I was able to get this one.
