Picked this up today along with a WW 1 75mm shell. Put I have no idea what it is for and what country or era?
The inside has a waffle pattern to it. Painted yellow. Bottom is copper.
Any help would be great.
Thanks again guys.

WOW! I must have finally stumped you guys? I spent 2 hours going through every reference book I had and spent another 3 hours on the web trying to find something close and couldn't. Maybe someone could direct me to a good site that might have some info?
Thanks.
Looks like a sub-munition or Bomblet, but having scrolled through search engines I cant find one exactly the same.
It has a shaped charge for armour penetration and is notched for fragmentation. It has also been demilled with a torch cut. Sorry I cant be more help.
Cheers
Gary
Thanks for your input. The second part is what I had deduced. I did get it from a dealer that I also got a WW 1 American 75mm shell from. He doesnt specialize in military but said he got them from the same person. I was leading towards W W 1 but maybe not?
Thanks though.
I don't think that shape charges were used till the 1940's.

This may be a red herring, but the yellow colour looks identical to that used on WWII RAF practice bombs and munitions.....
HMMM? Some more places to check into. I haven't been able to find any showing a shape charge as of yet.
At least ones that have a picture. Guys got any places for me to look on the web?
Thanks! You guys always come through! I even emailed my cousins husband (he is 30 year US Army ordinance) and he didnt recognize it.
