    Not a shell. A cartridge case! Work mode active!! It is an American Navy one by the look of it. Certainly looks like their way of batching no propellant lot details though. I wonder if this was a unfinished one shipped over for assembly here. No primer and no signs of it having been punch stabbed in place would certainly indicate that to me.
