M72 75mm AP-T US Sherman Tank Round Usage in WW2
I'm doing some research on the M72 AP-T and by all indications it rather quickly went out of favor early in the US involvement in the war. While no doubt its replacement got the bulk of the action, do we know if the M72 remained in use for combat during the war, or was it reserved for target practice and other non-combat usages only?
Thanks gents!

From one of my books.
“AP M72 - this had a somewhat blunter ogive than its successor the M61. When the M61 was available in quantities, the M72 was relegated to target practice. The M72 was packed in M67 cylinders”
So its seems it probably did see some use at the very start. But quickly was changed to the target practice role.
