My Small US Flare Collection for M8 Pyrotechnic Pistol

I am Sharing my small collection of signal flares for the US M8 flare pistol. The flare pistols were used from WW2 through the Vietnam war and beyond by both air crews and ground troops. This is only a small selection of 37 mm signal flares that were made for use; not nearly complete. I could not find an exact number of the variants made for use.

Quite a few steps up from those telegraphic night signal flares, developed by Benjamin Coston and perfected by his Baltimore-born & widowed wife Martha J. Coston, on the eve of America's internal struggles, between 1861 and 1865.

Map, It would be kind of fun actually. I would use a late date flare as pretty cheap. Tough to film.
