Are you sure? they look like training blanks to me. What is the headstamp?

The HS is IVI nato cross and 70,they probably are blanks,what would be the HS on a Canadian grenade round?...Pete.

The headstamp would probably be similar Pete. However, 7.62mm NATO grenade blanks are generally always short rosette crimped blanks, plus British (and I think Canadian) ones are stained black on the lower half to identify them.
The reason that the training blank has the long neck crimp is that they are required to feed from the magazine, whilst the short grenade blanks are single loaded each time a grenade is required.
Of course now with 5.56mm, grenades are of the bullet trap type and use ordinary ball ammo to launch them.
