Default PGN 60 HEAT practice rifle grenade

This is a practice version of the polish PGN 60 HEAT rifle grenade that was used with the AK47 made in Poland specifically for rifle grenades. the “ Karabinek-granatnik wz.1960”

The combat version was capable of penetrating anywhere between 5 inches to 7.9 inches of armour. I have seen two different sources which give conflicting information on its penetrative ability. Given it’s a HEAT projectile in theory it should penetrate the same amount of armour at any distance.

However as stated in the title this is just the practice type. I have included a size comparison with a 7.62x39mm round.

Interestingly the experience the polish gained with this rifle grenade led them to develop the RPG-76

I have included a UXO page which shows the real combat version

I’d find an explanation of the special features helpful please...perhaps just a sentence each???

    Presumably they’re for sights etc?

    Hi,
First picture: sliding lock to prevent the cover to fly away because of the heavy recoil
Second picture: to ease the screwing of the grenade launcher and to fix it
Third picture: selector that cuts the gas valve for the firing of grenades
Fourth picture: to fix the recoil pad on both sides of the butt

Thank you...I’m particularly interested in how the barrel-end piece attaches to the weapon.....presumably the grenade slides over this piece ......does the attachment slide into the barrel? Screw in?

I’m enjoying this Thread....thank you both!
