    I got a box with all kind of stuff from ww1 . The ones i could find. Therefore I suppose that also this is from WW1.

    The only thing i am wondering besides which type this is ,

    Is this safe ?

    on the side looks like the letter VSM

    Is this safe ?

    if this is safe ?. On Top off this "thing " looks like I can unscrew something. This means that there is gunpowder inside ? .

    Can’t help with the specific details of this item, but until a member knowledgeable in ordinance etc comes forward, best to assume it’s not safe.

    Be careful with ordnance my friend. This the reason why magnet fishing is illegal in our country.
    I will keep an eye on the news here locally if we don't hear back from you :P

    It's a British 1 ½ pounder. If it hasn't been inspected/FFE'd by a qualified authority then it's safe to presume it's not safe. Which you've obviously already done because otherwise you wouldn't have asked here.
    I would now suggest asking the appropriate authority in your near

    I did not fish, i bought it at a thrift store ( kringloopwinkel)
