    G'day all,
Can anyone identify this one please? Going by the head stamp I'd say it's military? (no primer)
I bet it would have had a kick in it!!!
History of it - it came from a childhood friend who's older brother was in some special police unit, other than that I have no idea on what it is? the case diameter is about the same as a .308

    Cheers All

I was thinking it could be a not finished 7.62mm but comparing it to one I'm not so sure

I like the way your thinking!!
Could be. That would fit the size before being necked down.
I'm not a reloader, but I bet somebody on here turn's their own and will chime in.

And like you have shown , There has never been a primer in there. No Crimp marks !

    Cool find!!

It almost looks like a 7.62x51 case that hasn't finished the forming process.
