Default ww1 british 4" mortar bomb

A friend of mine gave me 3 mortar bombs yesterday. all ww1 british, there was a 3" stokes, a toffee apple and an odd ball 4". there seems to be plenty of info on the first 2 but nothing on the last one.
Does anyone have any info on the 4"? i'd like to paint it it correctly but i'm not sure if it should be yellow, dirty white or some other colour.
it came with a transit plug and what i assume to be a transit fuze booster pocket, (i assume it's transit as it doesn't have any holes to allow the gain to do it's job).

    Any info is greatly appreciated.
