    This was brought back by a WWI veteran from the 35th division, 129th artillery Bn.
    Stamps on bottom of casing says:
    75 MM M5A1
    HOW MI
    small letters on rim M.C.
    A small cross cannon barrels with a circle over them and a crown on top.
    I can't get the small stuff to come out in the photo's

    Nice brass! The fuse (timer) looks great also!

    Very nice but the case and projectile do not belong together. The case is for the US 75mm How which was introduced for service in 1927, first having undergone trials in 1920, well after WW1. The projectile is for the US 75mm gun....the one the US " borrowed" from the French.

    Steve...nice find, great condition...I know Ade has a fine example...heres my rather knackered one ! (more of a doorstop really !)

    Hey guys.. I'm in Northern California and came across this 75mm..
    It appears to have been used in WW1 and R.I.A. 1939 (Re-introduced to acton ?)
    Sorry if this is the wrong place to post.. Moderators do you best please... In Atwater,Ca in front of the V.F.W. Hall.. Regards...G
