Good morning! Based off the examples provided in this thread I think you have a good badge there. Have a look for yourself. Many examples with excellent photos for comparison. The hinge (which IMO would be hard to duplicate) looks good as well as the catch. The semi hollow dish, and the double dots above the wheels, combined with the spot on appearance of the makers mark . Best regards.

[QUOTE= Vendor does state that the hinge roller replaced by a short piece of steel wire.
Oh ok I apologize I missed this statement initially. I see what you mean there. Personally if the attachment pin is original to the badge it wouldn't bother me much. It could of been an old repair or new, obviously not a jeweler quality fix but as long as the price was reflective (discounted) because of the defect, i'd be happy. Otherwise I still think it's a good desirable badge. Others may have different viewpoints on the matter but this is of course is JMO. Best regards.

It's a genuine 2nd Pattern type 3.3.2. The repaired hinge means that the badge is compromised, however slightly, and this would mean the price would have to be reflected in that for me anyway.
The actual price being asked for this badge is in my opinion too high. A perfectly sound badge retails for around 35 Euros less collector to collector, and this ones value is affected by the fact it's repaired. I'd let it pass unless it was much cheaper, but again, that's me.
Regards, Ned.
