Not one I am familiar with.
It utilizes a guide for the hinge plate, and an oblong catch plate, which so far, I have not been able to identify.
I am unfamiliar with a maker that exhibits both of these traits.
    I will keep looking.
    Ralph.

I am pretty sure it is an original, but may have a replaced catch.

    Hi Ralph,
Thank you very much for taking the time and checking it from your side. I was informed in the past that it was replaced during the war by the factory/maker.
    Best regards,

    That would explain it.
I have not posted this one previously, but I believe yours is from the same maker, who is still unknown at this time.
It is referred to as a "scooped out flat back", minus the scoop.
    Here is mine to compare.

What do these three badges have in common that should not be? Can you find it?

If there are no opinions, then here is my answer: the same bubbles. And it's very bad. I think that the badge at the beginning of the topic is bad.

Can we see the reverse of these three PABs please?
    Ralph.

Hmmm, I don't recognise this badge as being from a known maker either but I think the point here is that the "bubbles" indicated are not die flaws but are (or would be) a result of the ageing of the badge and by definition should be unique to an individual badge. So, to see three badges (four counting the one at the top of the thread) with identical "bubbles" suggests that they are all born of the same original ie cast copies which carry over the idiosyncrasies of the original. Examination under magnification would show what are in fact well, "bubbles" or simply hard lumps carried over in copying.

I agree with Ralph, we need to see the whole obverse and reverse of the three posted by Ryuuk.

    Just my thoughts.

    Regards

    Mark

    Hi Mark, and Ralph,

One of the pieces posted above by ryuuk belongs to me (1st pic full scale and 2nd pic just the eagle). Here are some close-ups of the PAB.
