    Hi Mike, you're right. It's more prevalent on some makers than others. You tend to see more on solid zinc badges than hollows or tombak. I guessed the "Monday" bit was a joke. So was the Friday thing. Stewy

    It's a type 3 die (3.3.3) AS in T PAB that is noted for the amount of hand finishing compared to it's two earlier incarnations (3.3.1 and 3.3.2). The bright chrome finish compared to the matt silver coated rear and the parallel striations seen there are also direct confirmations of an original of this particular type from the maker.
