I have another question which maybe someone can help with:

Were military typists and/or typewriters used for producing confidential documents for the Polish Army in the 1960s individually code numbered?
In other words, would a typist, for instance, be assigned an idendity number I guess similar to a military personel's number?

Any thoughts from Cold War enthusiasts much appreciated

Hello

I don't think that civilian typewriters had assinged code numbers for confidential documents.

Currently every author (military and civilian) of confitential document puts his names on this document.

As I know Polish soldiers didn't have personel numbers during communist period.
Currently they do not have, too.
