Hi All,
Adding another field cap on, from the same source as the Spanish one I posted the other day.
I picked this one up a few months back for £5 and just couldn't work out how to photograph it effectively as it does not keep its shape. I worked out turning my hoodie into a ball worked well enough. It's not in the best of conditions but at the price I wasn't going to argue.
This is a 1955 dated example made I believe for other ranks and is done in a very coarse wool and crude materials for the liner.
It retains its green painted buckle at the front and uncrowned Polish Eagle insignia and is of a similar design and cut to the earlier pre and wartime era caps.
Unfortunately the lining is deteriorating and the peak of the cap itself has begun to come unstiched so I don't move this one around too much.
Hope you all enjoy,
Matt
