Aljezur ceremony

Hi, I think you guys will like this.
During the past weekend of 17th of November, a ceremony was held for the crash of German FW200 in Aljezur cemetary.
A crash that killed an entire plane crew.
German and Portuguese Authorities were there.
And a small museum display was created, housing several pieces of the plane.
This was also in display, this certificate was given to a Portuguese civilian for trying to save the German men.

Amandio da Luz Paulino is the name of Portuguese civilian.

Too bad i couldnt be there to take photos.

After doing a bit of research on Mr Amandio.
I discovered how the certificate, medal and case came to the hands of the Aljezur city hall.
It seems that on August 2007, on city hall meeting, it was approved a donation by a relative.
The relative of Mr Amandio donated the cased medal along with its certificate in exchange for 100 euros!!!!
The case had a lining of red velvet.
