Recently I obtained some old ww2 era photos and this came with it. It seems to be a document dated September 30th, 1938. The contents seem to be of someone asking to be sent the birth certificate of a Anna Rosina Kaschke born in 1809. Not completely sure why they’d need someones birth certificate who would have been long dead. It came with two other letters similar to this one. All different dates but asking to be sent birth certificates and marriage certificates of different people. The letters all conclude with the common “Heil Hitler”. Any thoughts?

Just a guess but maybe for a "Mischling Test.

With the racial purity laws of Nazi Germany, you needed to prove you were not of Jewish ancestry or partially Jewish (Mischling).

But if this person was born in 1809, they probably would have been Great Grandparents and I thought they only looked back to Grandparents. I've never studied this however so will leave it up to others to correct me.

Yeah I hadn’t thought of that. It would make sense honestly.

I think the guys are right about it being heritage related and it could be related to the compiling of an Ahnenpaß.

If you are not familiar with this document there is a good thread below for reference -

    Kind regards,
