    Hi everyone,

    Wanted to share this interesting document.
    1947 North Eastern China Shenyang police exit permit for the wife of former WW2 German consul to Manchuria (1939-1945). The family spent the war years comfortably as high ranking diplomats in occupied China, controlled by the Japanese. Two years after the war they were repatriated back to occupied Germany.

    Diplomat was Ernst Ramm.

    Looks like he got around. This thread on WAF refers to the same guy when he was the German diplomatic representative working in Wellington, New Zealand and was informed on the declaration of war on the 3rd of September 1939 by Great Britain and it's Dominions including of course "His Majesty's Government in New Zealand" that he, his staff and their dependants were to be evacuated. The whole story of this is in the link for those interested.

    Yes, seems he is the same individual.
    Here is his last Diplomatic passport used when he was in Mukden, modern day Shenyang city, China.
