Here's a great little magazine I picked up, Bomben aüf Engeland Nr.8. No date, but it has to have been published November 1940, at the absolute earliest, as there is a quote from the Führer from 8.11.40.

Next up is Illustrierter Film-Kurier Nr.3184, featuring the movie Spähtrupp Hallgarten. The magazine is not dated, but as the movie release date was 14.3.41, I am guessing it is around that date. It's about two Bavarian soldiers (Hannes Hallgarten & Sepp Eberle, front cover,) who fall in love with the same girl (Christa Hambacher, rear cover). One dies - the end

Here is my Hanburger Illustrierte - 22.Juli 1944. This issue leads with Marine-Schreiber-Obergefreiter Walther Gerhold, who was awarded the Knights Cross for sinking the cruiser HMS Dragon, during the Normandy operations. However, it seems that the actual Neger pilot who sank the Dragon was Midshipman Potthast. Potthast was captured by the British after he sunk the Dragon, but Gerhold was awarded the RK instead. Potthast's description of his action is interesting reading.
