Re: Hugo von Senger ROA
Very interesting articles, I especially like the photo where he is wearing the anti partisan badge. Am i right in thinking that in the photo of him as a veteran he is wearing a numbered General assault badge and if so do you know what number it is. I would very much like to hear what other information you have regarding his service. As you say there is a sparcity of information regarding the ROA and it is an area i am interested in.
Best wishes
Robin

His regiment Commander. Prinz Salm is think it is.
It's Prinz Karl zu Salm-Horstmar. The caption says:
"My Regimental Commander
Prince Karl zu Salm-Horstmar
I was given this photograph as a memory picture
on his birthday 8 Jan. 81"
(That was his 70th birthday. He died ten years later on 2 Aug. 91; see: Die Träger des Ritterkreuzes des Eisernen Kreuzes 1939 - 1945 )
This photo of the Prince as an old man wearing his wartime uniform with full original decorations is quite remarkable. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Hugo von Senger ROA
Thank you for opening a thread regarding an very deep interest of me.
I have read alot of the roa and cossacks and other eastern volunteers- so for me opening this forum today and see this thread make my heart jump alot. I would love to have that grouping included his uniform. If it ever comes out for sale please send me an PM.
(to bad i never met the gentleman and could tell him: Thank you for your service! )
Over to the photos, very very interesting, words are not enough. I look forward to see more of this gentleman in the time to come Datrus.
