Some nice images there doomtown. The chap in the fifth shot looks a tad more cheerful than the bloke slumped over the bucket doesn't he? I agree with Nick too, that beached mine shot is a very fine image. Thanks for sharing them with us all.

Thanks gents, I love the look on his face, it seems like he's trying to destroy the Seemine by contempt! Can anyone id his uniform? Or the Tank at the top of the page? I got the tank photo in a lot that included a Kantine totenkopfring, presumably, the man sitting on the knocked out tank was the owner. I also really treasure the photo of the three soldiers in their bunk, each one is different, the fat one with the bad expression on his face, the thin, service-minded one, and the guy who couldn't sit still. I like to think of them as the three "weird sisters" from Macbeth, haha.
The tank is British - possibly Tank, Cruiser, Mk IV (A13 Mk II) or something very similar.

I would guess the photo was taken in France or Belgium in May/June 1940.
Can't help with the unit.

Wow, thanks Richie! Great to have a bit more history with the ring that I got, much obliged!
