This would be a question for Paul, Bobby Woll lived till 1996 yet he is a very hard autograph to find, was he not open to correspondence or autographs after the wear?

A little Christmas present come early and to end my photo collecting for the year.
I managed to jag a very early 1980 dated photo of Egon Delica of the famed Eben-Emael para drop.
Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 12 May 1940 as Leutnant and deputy leader of Sturmgruppe "Granit" in the Fallschirmjager-Sturm-Abteilung "Koch"
Merry Christmas all and best wishes for your collections in 2019.
Morris sincere apologies i missed this post as i was away on the Somme . Woll didn't want to have anything to do with collectors and autograph hunters post war i've never actually seen an autograph by him and he was unrespsonsive to those who wanted to interview him , as i understand it he suffered quite badly from his wartime injuries . The downside of Woll refusing to be interviewed is that some of the ridiculous stories about him and Wittmann such as Woll was his Gunner as Villers Bocage still abound .

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
Paul thank you for the reply and hope the trip was fruitful!
Yes i have heard of his inactivity however I never knew he was that closed off, interesting the differences in some veterans and how the war affected them.
After scouring the net here is the only photo I could find of him, supposedly signed by him.
Never seen one Morris , it would i think unless anyone can say to the contrary , be very difficult to authenticate .

Thanks to a wonderful and incredible woman, excellent hostess, who honors us with her friendship, we have received as special favor these three photos of an old gentleman that we all recognize, who on December 7 was in good health, although he desires rest quietly and neither send photographs nor maintain postal correspondence.
For a great common friend, for my son and for me.
