Re: Some documents
I've done the same thing Salonete. I've got about 10 feldposts that I would love to get translated but it's very aggravating just trying to decipher the hand writing. I have one that was the soldier's last letter to his girlfriend before he got killed on the eastern front. It would be very interesting to see what his situtation was at the time of writing the letter, but his handwriting is absolutely terrible.
Take care,
Jay

Re: Some documents
Salonete, you have several nice deathcards there. These are truely a somber reminder of the war's cost. When you see the faces of these guys it makes it much more personal. Thanks for showing.

Re: Some documents
Hi Salonete, I'm like you. I really enjoy looking at and collecting miscellaneous everyday paperwork. Everyone thinks of the TR as some mysterious entity when in fact they were just ordinary people. When you read stuff like this, you realize it. I have some paperwork from Latvia where the german army was buying potatos and cabbage from a large local farm. That is about as ordinary as you can get. Thanks for showing.
