SS death card
Hi,
I have just picked up this death card for a SS Schutzen, it came with 3 photos of the German Soldatenfriedhof that was at St.Brelade's Church here in Jersey. I wanted the photos as I collect any Channel Island photo's, photo album, documents, soldbuch, wehrpass etc. So i have ended up with this card which is of no real interest to me but I thought I would show it to you here out of interest. I have not come across many of these larger sized death cards before and certainly not one to a SS man. If there is anyone who has a particular interest in the card and they have something Channel Island from the Occupation years then please PM me and we could do a trade perhaps. I guess there is no way of telling when, where and what unit he was in but from my understanding SS items are quite collectable.... how ever obscure they are.
